real coders don't need school for anything else than maths, if at all..

in fact I was contacted by such a school; I took a meeting with them, they needed advise on what to teach. I recommended: proper coding in C++/OpenGL/DX and university maths. However they went for the darkbasic approach because they feared that they wouldn't attrach enough n00bs and secure their money.
jaw: im a gamdev-school dropout ;) just because of that reason.
