Yeah - We found out 3 hours before the compo was to start, that some gfx cards do not display this intro correct :/ - we did test the intro on quite some setups before the compo, so we are really sorry about the bugginess, but we did our best.
I hope that we can do a fixed version some time when mentor is back in Europe again - hopefully someone will be able to kkapture the intro in the mean time.

How this one did not win, is a mystery to me.
Much more variation than "Texas" (which is a very nice 4K, still...) and much, much better music.

Just for the sake of completeness: This is the worlds second best 4k, with the worlds best 4k soundtrack. Just too bad it was overshadowed by Texas - it would have easily won any other 4k compo.

this together with the orb/aoa-demo exactly brings back what demoscene once was and should have always stayed alike...
this is so massively Amiga-Style...and i´m talking of a1200 here,where you can take some prods from ataris/falcons into the count...motherrula 68k still is the only real thing to me...including coding in assembler instead of shitty brackets-mode == c++
when i´ll be some bits fitter again,this sort of intro-style would be what i want to do then :))

Puryx: seems to be the same on ATI cards. I tested it on HD3870 & HD4850. same effect as besh. hope mentor will be back soon so that we get a fixed version and can watch it in real quality. ;)

well yeah its a one trick pony in some way but it's just very well executed. i wouldnt mind seeing demos done like this either (they could use nicer music though -- not that puryx' track isnt nice, but you know, not that '4k synth sound')

Consistently brilliant TBC team do it again. Works on a range of platforms = good code. Superb sound in the synth and once again a real feeling of size and space in the visuals. Good grief that was great and that fact that it works under multi OSes and multi vendors just makes it feel more of a real 4k somehow. Could have won easily...

I can't prove it but there is a 3rd dimensional tunnel opened on my PC (at least for the amazing acid track !), all gfx card firmware embeded a part II of the demo that why it seems too small... trust me all magicians have a fuckin' trick !!!

Hmm, i just wanted to rewatch it, clicked the 1920_1080.exe and nothing happened...on second try win7 dropped a crash-window. So i went ahead, downloaded the newest crinkler, recompressed the exe and it ran like a charm, even ~50b smaller than before. Only then i saw this your comment...any idea what happened? Maybe you forgot to update this version or accidentally re-added the old version? Please retry yourself, maybe it was just on my end?!
