The only technically interesting thing here is an asynchronous kernel, which plays animations from one buffer and unpacks new animations from another at the same time. All animations are designed with the idea that inverted frames are also frames, so that you get to play 4 frames at the price of storing two by inverting attributes.

Yep, I assumed it was animation. Most of these can be animated, it's repeative few frames. But I liked the overall flow. I liked also the noise touch. It somehow makes it look better.

took me so long to make a comment, because i wanted to say something worthy and fit. and i didn't think of anything better than: it seems that this demo have just completely destroyed those idiotic boundaries between "code" and "animation"which seems to remain only on zx spectrum nowadays. it almost finished that greatest deal that tbk+4d started years and years ago.
we all still have much to do in that direction. but for today - just applause and hail to the supernova of zx!

It could be cool effect for 1k (or well, 4k) prod. I'm not sure if remaining 100kb of data are worth of those 6 or so simplistic pictures that flash sometimes.

If there is one thing I love in a demo is SYNC!! bloody great and a worthy winner of the compo.

I think this was probably my favourite prod from Sundown. It's a close call between this and Gasman's entry, but I think this just pips it for me. It looked really polished and keep me fixated on the screen the whole time. Very nice indeed! I will be hunting down some more of Introspec's stuff, that I've missed before. Looking forward to the next release :)
A final, proper, post-party fixed edition is now available. It looks pretty much identical, but is compatible with the vast majority of 128K ZX Spectrum clones out there. It also supports TR-DOS.

Hmm... after this demo I feel a bit tired (it really hypnotizing!). This patterns and animations are great (as music also), so grab a thumb up by me :)

Normally I don't like pure animations because demos are all about realtime, but I love the looks and the great sync in this one! I only wish it had more "effects", i.e. variation. But great tune!

Extra plus point for being explicit! In first 2 minutes were nice and with a proper ending at that point the almost thumb would have been a definitive thumb. So keep 'em coming.

Once in the blue moon I would like to make such a precise designed and synced up demo. I clearly remember how I was speechless when I saw it for first time.

I've been binge-watching demos recently and wondered if I ever thumbed up this one. Well, I'm doing that now. It's very polished and ironically, after a decade of multicolor engine exploration it kind of stands out. It's a neat little demo with hypnotic quality if you watch it in a dark room on a big screen.
