Love the post-rock :) Also a nice try on a light ASD-demo. Looks good, although the pacing of the camera movements should follow the music more.

my fav of the party. nice visuals and very moody. more like a music video than a demo mainly because of the outstanding soundtrack. and what Preacher said. looking forward to see more of this group in the future.

some scenes had DoF focused nowhere, which was weird.

then the music wasn't really my cup of tea, Preacher called it post-rock but i like post-rock and this didn't sound like post-rock to me, more like progressive metal maybe?!

some scenes also felt unpolished. and some cuts too forced.

but overall the concept was pretty solid and the build up really worked. so fuck all that nitpicking idiocy i just posted before.

I wouldn't call it post rock either, sounds more metal like to me.

As for the demo, looks nice but there's not enough happening to keep my interest.

i quite liked this. the dark room/cave with the head and hand kinda breaks the flow tho, could've done without. direction with the many cuts gave it its charm, next time focus a bit more on the narrative... if it was about an exploding thingy above stonehenge that turns into a tree? :D

Terrain could've used some triplanar mapping, otherwise this was cool.

Great concept and flow !!! Though the music while nicely exectued isn't my cup of tea, sounds like a homage to one of those shitty Metallica black album ballads.

- 4 minutes maybe is a bit way too long: specially for that kind of 6 scene-camera switching scenario.
- the camera+scene switching FX resource is used soo many times, abused.

+The engine and technology used looks VERY promising and performs beatifully coherent on recent machines.
+seems it has something to explain.
+Very brave in this days, to not use a non techno-Dub-Drumbass-EBM whatsover electronic thing as music.
+colors,ambient,illumination fits ok.

Although I didn't really dislike the ones that came up first and second at TDF2017, and this one has some flaws, it should have won by far, IMHO. Keep the good stuff coming

Very nice, enjoyed watching every moment of it, good choice of music and very good music to boot. I got vibes and possibly inspiration from 5-Faces but perhaps that's just me, but who cares, I much prefer the setting and direction here. Will re-watch again, lovely demo, thanks.

Pretty nice.

The scenery and exploding shapes were cool-looking enough. I could have taken less fast cuts and the dark head figure thing (which seemed out-of-place).

Still good tho.

it is simppafi's first executable demo!

It didn't run on my 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 box with its ATI Radeon 4870 video card (512 MB of VRAM). :( Anyways, YouTube video was OK.

It has blastbeats so it gets a thumbs up, but your depth-of-field doesn't really look good and it's not used well, and if you have programmed drums, there's no shame in manually aligning the guitars to the grid too to sound a bit tighter.

Some solid work in there. This is underrated and should have ranked higher in my opinion.
