this demo ruled, so did hex-appeal when it came out. Nice object show which was ok for the time (problem came after when EVERYONE was doing boring object shows :D). Music ruled also

MUST THUMB BRILLIANT DEMO

Wow, this was added only now?
This is a really good demo people, one of those hi-tech objectshows.
Does some nice texturemapped objects, gouraudshading, and speed and accuracy were good for its time.
Shame it crashes on 'fast' PCs (I think you need an actual 486 to run the entire demo, my Pentium didn't work anymore).

Scali: Runs fine on my pIII-450. No problem with MSDOS 6.2x, but with a 'trick' it also runs here under MSDOS 7.1 - more under this link

Here a link to another probably quite unknown masterpiece (maybe coz it's not a party release). But this can cause even more problems than Holistic.

Crest: It runs, but never makes the end, on fast computers... It stops just before the gouraud shaded sportscar model if memory serves me. The DOS version is no problem, I ran it under pure DOS on all my machines, but for some reason only the 486 runs it completely, and only at 66 MHz, not at 80 MHz.

Quite impressive back then, but still the music made all the difference. Zodiak is king!

just rocks.
(and runs fine on my p100 besides, including the sportscar part)

The demo is OK, but the music is exceptional. It was the first one that I ripped from a demo to always play it on my GUS :)

Kickass music, and the demo isn't too bad either, even if most of the parts run sluggish like hell on my old 386sx when this was released :)

Piggy for nice music (though melodically a tad cheesy)

Cool music and smooth environment mapping. Everything else is just bland.

Text-based oriented, nearly a slide-show of 3d objects. Why not?
I didn't remember the music was so nice.

Quite nice music for an otherwise boring 3d object show

For me, it's impossible to code this on a modern machine, but those guys worked magic on a 486.
