this is the party-version. it was finished in a REAL REAL hurry at the party-place ... the sync is almost non existant because we hab no time left ... i don't know yet if we will do a final version.

very nice idea ansiizing everything. the demo itself is a bit too repetitive with always the same scheme scene(long running)->ansiized scene.
Some parts were so hideously ugly that one might think I designed them. :) The waterfall was cute though, and the ansi idea was nice. So I guess it's a pigface then..
ROTFL :D
the reason fpr the uglyness is mainly the lack of time ... but we wanted to release it at breakpoint ;)
fake textmode. just an overlay of random textmode chars over hi-res visuals.
Damn, this thing drags on. Way too long. The Ansi concept is somewhat interesting. Hmm... Okay, but too long.

it's ANSI???
it's ANSI???
dipswitch: do you want to see modeswitches on the beamer instead? we could have done that, but really nobody wants that.
Sorry to thumb you down, but it was ugly (the idea has a point, but the implementation defintely ruins it all)
dixan/oreo said it all. great concept but horrible implementation
manx: well, okay, but that's no "proof of ansi" still. a real "proof" would be a nice textmode demo with supreme ansi graphics and supreme textmode effects. this is rather a "joke of ansi". sorry for being so harsh, but that's what i'm feeling about it.
The Colours are hurting me. :(
crashes during precalc on my (dual) p3/500+GeForce...
Not at all fake text mode. Not at all random chars. "SliCer" produces *real* 80x25 textmode, original IBM charset, original VGA 16 colors. No Faking here. Put any other char and it will look worse.
very ugly and slow
get fixed gfx drivers if the ansi parts are dead slow ... vendors only recently realised that reading redered images back via the agp may be a feature that is worth optimizing for
Quite ugly. Make real textmode demos instead. ;-P
hmm... A nice concept that really falls short of what it could've been - All the "ANSI" to 3D conversions are very strange in that it runs so fast in 3D, then crawls in "ANSI". I would've though it would be the other way around.
manx: I tried new drivers, and they didn't improve the "ANSI" speed one bit.

oh, the horror!
thumbs up for the concept and realization of the 3d/ANSI fade
thumb down for the scenes and the glitches
so overall we've got another pigface here

Just for the insane idea!
godspeed
How could I forget this one? I remember I went to the bigscreen when it was shown too see whether this are real characters or not. Even when some parts look ugly I really like it - not only because they greated TAP. ;)
The scroller nobody can really read is interesting, too. The same goes for the small fr-08 homage.
And never forget: This is a partly (fake-) textmode demo, please make sure there are at least 2m between you and your monitor.

Could be better overall, but it's nice. It has ANSI and fr08 references (the text in circles, the last scene...), so you made my day :D
