Secret! ;)
No, actually code-wise it's trivial. Blob images are simply added on top of each other. The generation of the images for the blobs and the right palette make all the difference...

Just been watching a presentation of "Material Maker" (looks very good !).
It reminded me of this (pet) project of mine called "GL Edit". It's some kind of (offline) modular "deluxe" scriptable ShaderToy that can also create meshes+textures (+ smooth camera movements), and export scenes into self-contained standalone projects.
I primarily made this for game development purposes but to be honest, it's currently on hold (music (software) is my main interest).
The screenshot (of a simple scenegraph test case) does not really do it justice, even in its current state it is very complex and powerful but hey, as they say, "make a demo about it" ;) (hopefully one day)
merry xmas - take care & cu soon, cosmic
In this winter vacation I have been coding a plot area. The computation now takes place in a javascript Web Worker connected to the Rust implementation.
Javascript Web Worker's are so frustratingly different than threads in other languages.
You can try with OEIS sequences that have the keyword "look".
https://oeis.org/search?q=keyword%3Alook&language=english&go=Search
Replace the oeis id in the url.
https://loda-lang.org/edit/?oeis=2487
Loda doesn't contain all of OEIS. At the moment 55k sequences have a loda program. The OEIS database contains 350k sequences. That's around 15%.

it's been a long time! here's some PBR tests..
metal, dielectric, full-sss. tons of cheats and curve-fitting but it doesn't look half bad.
I made it so roughness+sss = sheen, for fabric, moss and stuff. Still wondering how much it makes sense, but I like reducing parameter/channels.

I don't know why the image isn't displayed but you can display it by right-clicking and choosing "load image".
@Dr. Adok: It's because you are linking to an image via HTTP (not HTTPS), and additionally the certificate on that server is totally broken. Other than that I wouldn't know either.
Love it. I did not know that sharing work in progress is encouraged. If I do so on other chatrooms, i will get one of theese:
1. Ignored by everyone
2. Banned from competition because exposing of a prod

July 2021, actually. Still have no time and motivation to finish a demo, since the war has started :( Follow me on Twitter, by the way – I post some "work in progress" and "making of" stuff there.
