Does anyone happen to have a Linux 64-bit build of the Rocket editor?
category: general [glöplog]
I don't have a Linux distro running at home myself but a teammate needs one so if anyone has it, much obliged.
Should this be strictly a Linux build? The x64 windows version can be grabbed here maybe he could get it to run using wine...?
Yeah, and I'm not running a Linux distro at home so that's why I'm asking.
It's available in everyone's favourite package manager. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/rocket-git
Danke!
In case Arch isn't good enough for you, I've added a Flatpak of the v0.11.0 release to the release tag here:
https://github.com/rocket/rocket/releases/tag/v0.11.0
I've also submitted it to Flathub, where I hope to be able to keep it up-to-date.

I should of course have made that one a link: https://github.com/rocket/rocket/releases/tag/v0.11.0
I've missed you Kusma; and thanks!
plek asking for linux advice, what is this world coming to
I even compile for Apple Silicon these days. You'll see in about a month.
Also if wine is too troublesome, another fast way to get any win app, up and running on linux is Bottles. Of course, flatpacks is one of the best ways possible, if available. :)
There's no need to run Rocket in Wine in the first place, it's a Qt app, and runs just fine natively on Linux. The Flatpak is just to not have to deal with half a gazillion different distros.
Thank you once more Erik.
You're welcome. I'd been meaning to put it up there anyway, because I also don't always have a build laying around myself ;)
