I've always been a big fan of flamewars and scene feuds, but all I see here is petty name-calling and inane drivel. It makes the Jerry Springer Show look like a World Summit.

Why all this whining? If these online fights are as bad as you say they are, why aren't people fighting it out at parties then? So it gets a little intense/personal/whatever at times, but in the end, we're all friends mostly. (esp. in macaw's 'end' :P)

in the new scene language, speaking out your oppinion is called whining, right? Because that is what i did. And then people started to whine about my wining...thats how it goes right?
and yeah i expected to get flamed, but i altso hoped just a few people shared my oppinion, wich is why i put it to the test in the first place.

Damn.. someone spoiled me the thread replies above, it's really huge now for me to read, so fuck it...
The thing I don't get is how you can put down so much energy on stuff that is pointless. Why care if poeple disrepsect you etc on some online forum? Who cares if someone complaines, bitches or whatever.. allright demoscene for me has and will probably be about friendship, communication and creativity so that's what I try to focus on... instead of starting some flamewar in some online forum write a small scroller or mention your thoughts in some production or whatever so that people will respond in the same way... this leads nowhere..
