anybody play the game Wipeout? If you could slop together the entire experience into a genre of art, what type of art is it, what would its name be?

Reason I ask is, a few years ago, I was looking at a book at Borders and it was filled with art of that style... I cant remember the name, or anything about the book other than that it was fairly large, and inside was a cartoonish picture of a japanese girl fingering herself.... it was a logo for some band or something... I'm interested in finding out more about that style of art (no, not hentai :P ) but the wipeout sortof style... any idea's?
