Java applet sources?
category: general [glöplog]
Hi there,
I'm an Atari coder, but in my professional life I program with Java on PC. I would like to create demos with this language (esp. applets) but I'm a total newbie with multimedia programming ;-)
So, where could I find some tutorials and sources ???
Many thanx !

Hugi#22 had three good tutorials about Java democoding.

komplex java demos.
java decompiler.
google.com
hint hint (and dont be scared by the obfuscated code)
java sucks for demos anyways, no full screen properly supported yet. and sound libs are chaos. most of them link to deprecated stuff which you cant make sure it works in all machines anymore.
well, they didnt plan it for audiovisual stuff anyways.

Take a look on the next generation of Fun HandHeld Devices by coding on J2ME (Java 2 Mobile Edition). More information on http://java.sun.com/products/j2mewtoolkit/ and take a look on www.wirelessgamingreview.com .
J2ME implementation will be faster than a C64... depends of Mobile phone specifications.
