- demopack Atari XL/XE SillyPack 2k22 SE by JAC! [web]
- JAC! just provided a fix for "The Fall of Sky Cross" by Poison6502 so everything works like a charm now. Thanks JAC!

- demo Atari STe Out a Time
- Most impressive effects, nicely presented in fresh ways (e.g. the usage of nice and untypical Voxel maps) or even yet unseen on ST/E! And that Doom part is so strong, as said feels like Falcon at times. Awesome work all involved!

- demopack Atari XL/XE SillyPack 2k22 SE by JAC! [web]
- Awesome pack, so much good stuff and art, thanks JAC!
Btw, I couldn't get to work: "The Fall of Sky Cross" by Poison6502 (only one ongoing sound and a black screen both on Mono/Stereo A8)
As a sidenote: then there is Dhor's "3 Minutes to Nowhere" - which strangely ranked last place - what an underrated masterpiece, as it's clearly the most advanced sounding song of the compo in my book. Good that it gets some attention within the Sillypack at least. - rulezadded on the 2025-01-03 21:14:26
- demo Atari XL/XE Rewind 2 by New Generation & Zelax & Radiance
- Wow! Epic is the right term! If a demo takes off like this you know it gonna be just that, these intro scenes kid scene made that clear :-)
Surprisingly, I don't think the often typical and overdone synthwave / nostalgic theme is a problem here, as the demo not ride that horse too much but comes up with many innovative ideas instead. So many good, atmospheric and creative parts (all departments), it's hard to tell which I like most. Much to see and discover and nice work on direction, sync and transitions all over. Also, whats with that amazing new punchy synth bass and percussion sounds, some newly discovered registers maybe? ;-)
More generally said, its very interesting and uplifting to see how far you can push the usage of graphics and animations with 1 MB of RAM and cleverly combine it with effects and A8's strengths (colors, cpu "power") in such a creative way and to a degree unseen before on A8. Awesome work everyone involved! - rulezadded on the 2025-01-03 04:00:45

- Such a nice and tender demo and music (thumb up) and such a disturbing message at the same time.

- 16k Atari XL/XE Uncut by Masters Of Electric City
- Wow! The sync and presentation and especially those colored dots in the end scene look too good and new to me and these sounds (!!!) are just out of this world, yet again.
Thanks M.E.C. for doing your thing and explore the creative space, what would the A8 scene be without you!!! :-) - rulezadded on the 2025-01-03 03:05:00
